YUM Food & Drink Festival - Saturday 30th July 2011
Food 360 cook-demonstrator Margaret Hickling made her debut in the chefs' theatre at Hull's Yum Festival of Food and Drink with four recipe ideas.

Margaret, who has been running courses using seasonal food since Food 360 was launched in April 2010, concentrated on courgettes for two dishes. She said: "I simply asked what was available on Saturday in the garden to use and was told courgettes, so I made good use of what I was given. As for the Quesadilla, it has proved to be the most popular recipe by far in the cookery sessions."

In common with all of the chefs who cooked at Yum, Margaret was ably supported by host and BBC presenter Gerard Baker, an advocate of local produce and a big fan of the work of Food 360.

YUM Food & Drink Festival - Friday 29th July 2011
Some 300 badges were made and 100 mini compost blocks used to plant seeds on Probe's Food 360 stand at Hull's Yum Festival of Food and Drink on Friday 29th July.

The Lottery-backed project organised the activities in the Bitesize Kids' Area at Trinity Square for the second year running and featured, for the first time, a mini food market featuring locally-made breads, a new hand-decorated marshmallow enterprise, chilli sauces and burgers. Children were also entertained by badge-making and biscuit icing.
Pommallow creator Katie Hardy, 23, says: "It's gone really well for me today. I made dozens of the six-packs of marshmallows and almost sold out."
Project co-ordinator Adrian Fisher says: "I've been pleased to see how busy the Kids' Area was during the day with circus skills, games and food on offer."
